Run the London Marathon With Team Still I Run

Want to be part of a little marathon history? For one year only, the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon is becoming a two-day event, with 100,000 runners taking on the iconic course on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25. Still I Run is an official charity partner with guaranteed entries for the Saturday race, and we still have a limited number of bibs available!

Join Team Still I Run to run 26.2 miles through London while raising funds to support our mission of making every step a stride toward improved mental health and well-being. Team members with a guaranteed entry commit to raising $6,500 and receive fundraising support, team swag, a race kit, virtual team meetups, a pre-race shakeout and gathering, and more.

If London has been on your marathon bucket list, this is a pretty incredible year to make it happen. Apply for one of our remaining Saturday bibs today!

Mental Health Runner Program

Young Runners, Big Steps Forward

This year, Still I Run brought the Mental Health Runner Program to young people in two communities: Keene, New Hampshire, in partnership with the City of Keene Youth Services Department, and Tacoma, Washington, in partnership with the Pierce County Juvenile Justice System.

Through weekly runs, coaching, mentorship, mental health skill-building activities, and plenty of encouragement along the way, participants had the opportunity to experience firsthand how movement can support their mental well-being. Each participant also received running gear and a Mental Health Runner workbook, with the programs building toward the experience of completing a local 5K.

And we're excited about what we're seeing.

Across the two youth cohorts, 62% of participants completed the program, and 92% of participants said they felt "good" or "great" after their run.

In Pierce County, the momentum isn't stopping with the end of the program. Every participant who completed the cohort is continuing on to participate in the county's Fall 5K pop-up series.

For us, that's a pretty meaningful next step. We want young people to leave the program with more than the memory of one 5K. We want them to have a new way to support their mental health and the confidence to keep moving forward.

Community

Words That Keep Us Moving Forward

One of the best parts of Still I Run is the people who make up this community. Here are a few recent thoughts, reflections, and reminders shared by runners in our community that we hope encourage you wherever you are on your journey.

"Don't be afraid to step out of the door. Getting started is the hardest part, and don't be afraid to step outside and get out there."

Carrie H.

"Running has always been part of my mental HEALTH even if I didn’t realize it. Running is a time to connect to nature, to clear my mind and connect to myself. It was my first form of meditation even though I didn’t realize it."

Ginger Z.

"Without this program and the people involved in helping me achieve growth, I would have been at home, sitting on my couch, afraid to get up and try."

Victoria G.

"Mental Health Awareness is important to me because throughout my mental health journey, I have struggled with depression and needed therapy for my feelings. This has helped me so much and running has become a great outlet for my emotions."

World Suicide Prevention Day

September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day, a reminder of how important it is to talk openly about suicide, check in on the people around us, and make sure everyone knows where to turn for support. If you’re struggling—or you’re worried about someone you care about—help is available. You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to reach out.

Resources:

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call, text, or chat 988 for free, confidential crisis support.
  • Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741 to connect with a trained volunteer Crisis Counselor, 24/7.
  • American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: Find information about suicide prevention, warning signs, supporting someone who is struggling, and resources for those affected by suicide.

Reaching out can be hard. Checking in on someone can feel hard, too. But starting the conversation matters.
