In this post, we spotlight 2021 Still I Run Ambassador, Ashley Larson.
I am a mom to two awesome little guys, Mason (5) and Bode (3). I am also an elementary school teacher (4th grade right now). When I am not running, I love to explore the mountains, cross-country ski, and read!

I am passionate about running for mental health because despite having been a runner for over 20 years, it wasn’t until about 3 years ago that I realized how much I needed running for mental health as well as my physical health. Running has shown me just how much I am capable of despite feeling like the world may be crashing down around me or that I am not enough. Running reminds me daily that I choose to find strength in challenges and keep going when things are hard.
I have two that I am leaning heavily on right now: 1. Made for more and 2. Keep going.
Anywhere that I’ve never been and get to explore!
I am most proud my ability to stick with running and training cycles when things get tough. As a mom and teacher life gets hectic, but I have been working hard on being disciplined about getting the work done to achieve the big dreams and goals I have for myself.
I’d love to re-live running NYC Marathon again! It was the most incredible experience and I just want to soak up even more of the energy again! Plus it was the one of the few times I have had friends along the course cheering for me and these friends came from all over the country to be there!
Warm shower, recovery boots, and coffee or beer (depending on time of day)
I have a handwritten letter to me from Ryan Reynolds from when I was in 8th grade!
Pizza!
